Report on Loose Firearms for Safe Keeping in Kumalarang


On May 21, 2018 at about 11:00 AM, A total of Nine (9) units of loose firearms from Different barangays of Kumalarang Municipality were surrendered to Kumalarang MPS.

The surrender of loose firearms showed after the PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS intensified the conduct of the campaign against loose firearms through a dialogue with the different incumbent Barangay Officials during the Barangay visitation in the AOR.

Above-mentioned deposited Firearms are now under the temporary custody of Kumalarang MPS for safe keeping.

20 assorted loose firearms voluntary in Kumalarang, ZamboSur



KUMALARANG, Zamboanga Del Sur (May 9, 2018) - A total of twenty (20) units of assorted loose firearms owned from the different Barangays of Kumalarang Municipality of this province were voluntary surrender to Kumalarang Municipal Police Station on May 7, 2018 at about 10:00am.

The voluntary surrender of assorted firearms was a result of the intensified campaign conducted by the personnel of Kumalarang MPS headed by Chief of Police Senior Inspector Dexter Gumahob Adriasagainst loose firearms through dialogue with the different incumbent Barangay Officials and other Barangay and SK election candidates during the conduct of Peace Covenant Signing on May 6, 2018. 

The firearms were as follows:
-Sixteen (16) Improvised Homemade 12 gauge shotgun with no serial numbers;
-Two (2) pistolized 12 gauge Shotgun with no serial numbers;
-One (1) caliber 38 revolver, bearing serial number 2777 and
-One (1) caliber 38 revolver with defaced serial number.

Above-mentioned firearms are now under the custody of Kumalarang MPS for safekeeping. (By JONG CADION)
