KUMALARANG,
Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 9, 2018) – The
PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS conducted operation against illegal quarry at
Sitio Kalamasan, Brgy, Gawil, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 AM of
November 8, 2018.
The operation was resulted to the
seizure of One unit Hitachi EX 120-2, Backhoe with breaker ; two pcs Stationary
Steel Screen and apprehension of its operator identified as Benjie Parantar Y
Doremon, and seizure of One unit Mini Dump truck bearing plate No. 15453 and
apprehension of its driver identified as Larry Salva Y Sunggahid, 43 years old,
married and a resident of Brgy, Boyugan East, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur,
both quarrying in the said area without any permit from the DENR.
Further, inventory of seized items was
then conducted in the presence of apprehended suspects, Science Research
Specialist II Engr. Ventrick Ceazar A. Albano of Mines and Geosciences Bureau
(MGB) and invited elected officials Allan Damas, Municipal Vice-Mayor and
Manuel Biaco, Municipal Councilor.
After which, copy of seizure receipt
was furnished to the apprehended suspects and witnesses.
All seized items were properly
turned-over to Science Research Specialist II Engr. Ventrick Ceazar A. Albano
for proper disposition of the case.
